Tenditis v. Tendinosis

Often times athletes will visit a doctor because they are dealing with chronic or acute pain and they are concerned about being able to continue exercising. The diagnosis is overwhelmingly "tendinitis" and the prescription is "rest". While rest would be the perfect prescription for an athlete with tendinitis, there is a large group of people who walk out of their doctors office with a handful of prescriptions and a mandate of rest who don't need either. If you are suffering from tendinosis (not the same as tendinitis), your needs are not only different, but they are the opposite. Watch this video to see if your prescription has been fitting your diagnosis.
