Knowledge Bomb: What It Means to Have an Off-Season
“The bigger the base, the higher the peak.”Take advantage of the off-season and structure your year of training. You may not be in competition season, but don’t think of it as a break or a chance to get lazy. This is the time to build your base and get in a routine. Things to remember during the off-season:
- Warm-ups are important. Spend 20 minutes warming up before each workout, which will lead to increased performance as well as increased recovery.
- Show up to each workout focused and in a clear headspace.
- Have patience. It doesn’t happen overnight-- you will reach your goals over time if you work toward them each day.
