Knowledge Bomb: What It Means to Have an Off-Season

“The bigger the base, the higher the peak.”Take advantage of the off-season and structure your year of training. You may not be in competition season, but don’t think of it as a break or a chance to get lazy. This is the time to build your base and get in a routine. Things to remember during the off-season:

  1. Warm-ups are important. Spend 20 minutes warming up before each workout, which will lead to increased performance as well as increased recovery.
  2. Show up to each workout focused and in a clear headspace.
  3. Have patience. It doesn’t happen overnight-- you will reach your goals over time if you work toward them each day.
